About Guard Insurance Group…
Headquartered in downtown Wilkes-Barre, PA, GUARD is a commercial Property and Casualty insurance group that specializes in providing coverage and services to small- to mid-sized businesses. Traditionally, the organization focused exclusively on writing Workers’ Compensation policies. However, GUARD has now launched a full complement of products (under the name of BizGUARD Plus) that is designed to match all of the characteristic Property and Casualty insurance needs of the company’s targeted audience.
Founded in Northeastern Pennsylvania in 1983, GUARD currently writes Workers’ Compensation insurance across more than half of the continental United States and other, newer lines in seven. The company had sales of $242 million in 2010, writing policies for approximately 47,000 employers.
Honored as the #2 Best (Large) Place to Work in Pennsylvania in 2001, GUARD’s success is attributable to many factors, including a superior group of employees and a technologically sophisticated environment.
